The modern Klausberg ‘K Express’ gondola lift is accessible to all and takes day-trippers up to the hiking area in the upper Ahrntal valley, at an altitude of 1,600 metres. From the mountain station, a short, steep access ramp (20–23% gradient) leads down to the adjacent Kristallalm restaurant. Following a wide forest track downhill, it takes about 15 minutes to reach the large children’s playground ‘Family Word’, which features a summer toboggan run (Alpine Coaster), and the Almboden restaurant.

Right next to the valley station, there is a large visitor car park with two reserved parking spaces for passengers with disabilities. A step-free access route leads to the modern ticket office area at the valley station. The latter is designed to be fully accessible: to the right of the turnstiles, there is a reserved passageway for pushchairs. In the area of the reserved parking spaces, there is also a direct passageway (110 cm) leading to the level boarding platform for people with disabilities and cyclists. The accessible toilet at the valley station is accessible via a ramp. Boarding and alighting at the mountain station are also at ground level. Once at the top, a viewing platform (accessible via a ramp) offers a magnificent view across the valley.
The access route from the mountain station down to the neighbouring Kristallalm restaurant includes a steep access ramp approximately 30 metres long (20–23% gradient on an asphalt surface, without a handrail).

Notes: The access route from the Klausberg top station to the nearby Kristallalm Restaurant includes a steep ramp (20–23% approximately 30 metres long, with an asphalt surface and no handrails.
A short walk then leads to the Almboden Restaurant, situated further down (Family World children’s playground).
To reach this lower part called Almboden, wheelchair users will need an off-road wheelchair fitted with a towing device or an auxiliary electric motor.
The alternative return route via the Dino Trail and the Moaregg Alm is ideal for children, but is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility due to the gradients.
